KANGLING HORN

The Tibetan Kangling thighbone horn or trumpet is used in Tantric Buddhist Rituals such as Chod. It is blown like a trumpet to drive away negative spirits and for weather control. Made out of human femur. It is often held in the left ‘wisdom hand’ and is often paired with the damaru drum in the right ‘method hand’. A deity depicted with the kangling symbolizes victory over the three realms.
