Sacred Sokshing Phurba from Boudhanath Stupa
This rare phurba is crafted from sokshing, the sacred central pillar of Boudhanath Stupa in Nepal. During the Nepal earthquake, the stupa required major restoration, and the original sokshing was respectfully removed and replaced. From this blessed wood, these phurbas were made.
Boudhanath Stupa is one of the oldest and most revered stupas in the world, continuously consecrated through centuries of prayer, mantra, and devotion. Sokshing forms the spiritual heart of a stupa, symbolizing the union of wisdom and compassion.
The phurba represents the cutting through of ignorance and obstacles, anchoring realization and protection. Crafted from sacred stupa wood, this phurba carries profound spiritual and historical significance.
