Satisfied customer who shops annually at Potala Gate.

I am a regular customer from Canada for a number of years now. Potala Gate provides a wide variety of excellent products for Dharma practices. The owners are very compassionate people who generously considered the current major difference in US / Canada exchange rates. Certainly, I will continue to be a regular customer and will certainly recommend Potala Gate to my friends and Dharma practitioners.

Rigpa Calendar for 2025-26 WOOD SNAKE YEAR 2152

This year, Rigpa’s calendar is dedicated to the long life of all the teachers, the flourishing of the Buddhadharma, and the speedy relief of suffering, unrest and war in the world.

Along with the main public and religious holiday, you will find in it the special practice days, such as Guru Rinpoche days and Dakini Days, as well as the main events of the year commemorating the deeds of the Buddha and the anniversaries of all the main teachers of the Tibetan Buddhist lineages.

The Rigpa calendar is traditionally a Tibetan Buddhist lunar calendar used to mark significant spiritual dates and practices. Derived from the Tibetan lunar calendar system, it is specifically aligned with the activities and teachings of the Rigpa community, founded by Sogyal Rinpoche. The calendar includes the following key features:

1. Lunar Cycles: It follows the Tibetan lunar month, with dates adjusted for the phases of the moon. Key practices are often scheduled on auspicious days, such as new moons, full moons, and specific dates related to the lunar cycle.

2. Sacred Days: The calendar highlights significant days for meditation, mantra accumulation, and ritual practices, such as:

Guru Rinpoche Days (10th day of the lunar month)

Dakini Days (25th day of the lunar month)

Buddha Days (e.g., Saga Dawa, celebrating the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana).

3. Teachings and Retreats: It serves as a guide for organizing teachings, retreats, and community events that correspond with auspicious times.

4. Personal Practice Guidance: Practitioners use it to plan their personal meditation, sadhana practices, and spiritual observances in harmony with cosmic energies.

5. Seasonal and Astrological Influences: The calendar may also include astrological guidance, noting times for specific rituals or activities based on Tibetan astrology.
