"Considered the Lord of Yogins, Milarepa is well known for the depth of his realization, the power of his devotion, and the beauty of his poetical songs.
It is said he possessed acute powers of hearing thus he is usually depicted cupping his right hand to his ear, continually attentive to the needs of sentient beings. The antelope skin he sits upon denotes his gentleness and compassion.
