Lion-Faced Dakini Torma (Sengdongma Torma)
In Vajrayana rituals, tormas (ritual cakes) are often made as offerings to deities, protectors, and dakinis. A torma dedicated to Simhamukha would have specific characteristics:
1. Purpose of the Torma:
Used in sadhanas, fire pujas (jinsek), and protector rituals to invoke her blessings and protection.
Can be used in obstacle-removing practices for clearing spiritual or worldly difficulties.
In some wrathful ceremonies, the torma is offered as a symbolic ransom to appease negative forces.
Ritual Uses:
The torma is blessed and offered as a means to invoke Sengdongmaâ protection.
In wrathful practices, it may be dissolved in fire (jinsek) or placed at a crossroads to remove negativity.
In peaceful offerings, it is left at a sacred place or shrine as a gesture of devotion.
