Plain Tingshak

Tingshak (or Tingsha) are small, traditional Tibetan cymbals commonly used in Buddhist practices, particularly during meditation, rituals, and offerings. They consist of two small, round metal plates connected by a leather or cotton string. When struck together, they produce a high-pitched, clear, and resonant tone that is said to cleanse energy, focus the mind, and create a sacred space.

Uses of Tingshak:

1. Meditation and Mindfulness: Their sound serves as a call to attention, helping practitioners anchor their focus.

2. Clearing Energy: In spiritual practices, the sound is believed to dispel negative energies and harmonize the environment.

3. Offerings and Rituals: Often used during pujas (prayer ceremonies) and other Tibetan Buddhist rituals.

4. Sound Healing: Their vibrations are sometimes used in sound therapy to balance energy and promote relaxation.

Traditionally, Tingshak are made of special bronze alloys, which include a mixture of metals like copper, tin, and other sacred components to produce their distinctive sound.

Our Tingshak's are made in India by Tibetan Refugees.
